Hoverboards?!? It’s Possible.

New Years, again?!?! I mean that in a very non end of the world sort of way, just in the way that means, Holy S&*% How can it be a new year, again!?!? 2012? Seriously? side bar- can you see the ridiculous number of question marks in that last paragraph? Holy editing batman. By the way there are 7.

I actually heard on the radio today that Back to the Future was set in 2015. Well, the future part that is. 2015? Say what?? That means we literally have 3 years to get on this whole, flying cars/hoverboard/chip in the brain thing. Man, we have a lot to do. Although I bet that Michael J. Fox didn’t think we would be carrying around hand held computers that speak to us and can locate a hooker, excuse me, female escort with a touch of a button. Take that 2015! (thanks Siri)

No, but in all seriousness. There are some pretty awesome things that happened in 2011, and some great things that are coming up for 2012. It is going to be a great year. And I am sure that in anticipation of the New Year you created a list. The 2012 awesome list. This could be a resolutions list, a to do list, a goals list, whatever. You have one, and if you don’t hey that is ok. Just make sure that you at least have intentions of making 2012 even better than 2011. Goals or not, each year I hope all of you strive to be better versions of yourself regardless of what capacity that might be.

For me that means I am taking out and adding one thing this year. I am eliminating a negative thing in my life and adding in one positive. The negative? My outrageous chocolate addiction that has gone crazy for the last month. Yikes. I am currently on a 21 Day Sugar Detox and am hoping that is going to help stop me from being such a chocoholic. I am currently on Day 4 and besides wanting to kill someone and the thought that if someone asked me to eat my own arm for a piece of chocolate, I would, I feel good. :) The first two days were pretty easy, like everything is. Today is when I am feeling the rigors of the week when I would usually treat myself with a nice piece of dark chocolate to calm my stress. But chocolate be gone! I am working on things that will fill my time and take my stress way besides a small piece of delicious candy.

And the positive thing I am adding in? YOGA! I don’t know how I’m going to fit it in, but I am damn determined. My life is a time slot away from insanity, juggling these three jobs, but I have told myself that if it is good for me, then I will find a way. So my goal is to try to make it to one class a week. This week is hasn’t been in the cards so far. But tomorrow looks promising.

So I hope each and every one of you had a fantastic New Year and I wish all of you a fit and healthy 2012.

Stay Active, Stay Healthy and Cheers to the New Years!
